Madhu visited Sameeksha Ashram at Kalady 40 km from Jessy’s place at Cochin . Prem (my dear husband) had stayed in this Ashram in June 06. He had written in his diary that this place had all the good things of Bodhi Zendu , Anjali Ashram and Kurusmala put together . He was very right .
and then by the low flying aero planes from CIAL Nedumbaserry . It is a place with out boundaries dotted with rustic cottages , trees , shrubs and flowering plants all growing without too much care and cutting . The most fascinating and peaceful aera was the river side . The Periyar flows so slowly and silently kissing the hedges . Meditation just happens here by the river side watching reflecting ……PEACE simply enters and drowns you . Those who are seeking a quite spiritual holiday for revival this place is recommended .
.
Madhu met Dieter and Gertraud from Germany and went with them to Kodanad . On the way Vincent showed us the birth place of Shankraacharya . At Kodanad baby elephants are trained to become man’s slaves . We met 5 of them all chained……….

Is there a Sameeksha Ashram in India (preferably in the north), or elsewherewhere people can come and serve as resident ashramites? Please advise.
I won’t write more now, because these things never work. Please acknowledge receipt, and send me whatever application forms I would need to apply.
I’m an American woman Sannyasi-Sadhu and have lived in India for extended periods.

Please could you be so kind to inform me as to how to go about to visit the Sameeksha Ashram Kalady for at least three weeks. The idea is to experience an Ashram and all its spiritual riches that it offers.
How does one make reservations? When is the best time coming from South Africa? How to fly there? And what are the cost? We are two? A priest and a sister who works in a mission station in South Africa, running a Retreat Center particularly for the Youth and Young Adults in search of contemplative prayer experiences. We are both in need of such experiences and were advised to go to Sammeksha Ashram. We have read alot about Sabastian Painadath and his mission. Please could you provide detail.
Thank you very much
